Lion’s Mane Claw Heat Tolerant (Hericium erinaceus) Medicinal.Wood-loving Species. Can tolerate Higher Temps. Fruiting temp: 18°-32°C
Rootlab is currently transitioning from Millet to Rye, so some spawn may be delivered on organic Rye instead of the advertised Millet.
This strain of Lion’s mane is notorious for starting pinning during transport. If pins do occur, use the spawn normally as it won’t affect your grow.
When transferred to grain, Lion’s Mane can take 2–3 weeks before visible growth appears, and colonisation often looks lighter and patchier compared to faster-growing species. On substrate, blocks are usually put into fruiting conditions around the 3–4 week mark, even if they do not look fully white. If left too long, the mushrooms may even begin fruiting inside the bag. This slower, less dense appearance is completely normal for Lion’s Mane, and with clean and optimal conditions it will still produce healthy fruiting bodies.
