The liquid culture can be used in various cultivation techniques. You may introduce the liquid culture into sterilized grain jars/bags, agar Petri dishes, or even another nutrient Sterile jar to expand into more liquid culture.
Lion’s Mane behaves differently from other mushroom species in liquid culture. Its mycelium is thin, wispy, and slow-growing, so it rarely forms dense clouds throughout the solution. Instead, it settles near the bottom or floats in delicate strands, and typically only colonises 30–40% of the liquid before slowing down or lightly browning. This is a normal part of its life cycle and does not indicate poor quality or contamination. The syringe still contains the correct concentration of healthy, active culture suspended in nutrient solution, ready to grow once introduced to grain or substrate.
